Here are a few of the most frequently asked significant questions about 9/11:
Who did it?!
Who really planned and executed 9/11, caused the FBI and other intelligence agencies to pretend not to know about the hijacking plot, caused the Air Force to stand down and deliberately not intercept the hijacked planes, placed explosives in the World Trade Center to bring it down and make it look like the planes caused the collapse, flew a missile into the Pentagon, and so on? Who did all of that? This is probably the hardest question about 9/11 and may never be really answered, or it may be answered when we finally get a real investigation.
We do not know exactly. This is why we need a new investigation with subpoena power and the ability to offer limited immunity for certain testimony. Once people have that protection they will begin to come forward and speak.
What we do know is that the official story is false. And that the top people in the U.S. intelligence agencies, the military, and the Vice President’s office were directly involved. Others included Larry Silverstein (WTC lease holder and Building 7 owner). There is a lot of evidence that Israeli agents, who have long been spying on the U.S. (see Jonathan Pollard) and have infiltrated the top levels of the Bush administration, were involved. The pro Israel lobby has enormous and dominant influence in Washington, D.C. to the point that even mentioning the “other side” of the Palestinian / Israeli conflict is strictly off limits in Congress. There is strong evidence that the nano-thermite, the military grade explosive found in the dust from the WTC, was researched and developed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California under the management of the University of California.
The major news media, besides covering up 9/11 (see above) began parroting the Bush administration’s official story, blaming it all on the Arabs and Osama bin Laden. They have conspired to keep the facts from the American people. In so doing they have become accomplices to this crime.
Has there ever been an investigation of 9/11?
Yes, but not an honest, thorough one. Not a real one. Not a criminal investigation, as there should have been. None that treated 9/11 as a crime, following the evidence wherever it would lead, even if that meant investigating the U.S. government as a suspect.
There have been investigations and published findings by FEMA, NIST, the Joint Inquiry (Congress’ intelligence committee leaders from both parties) and of course the 9/11 Commission. What there needs to be is an investigation that looks at the evidence and follows where the trail if evidence leads. That includes considering the possibility that 9/11 was known in advance, that the government intentionally shut down several independent FBI field investigations that could have prevented 9/11, that the military deliberately chose not to intercept the hijacked planes, that the buildings were taken down with controlled demolitions, and that every official investigation has been a sham and a cover up. Because they have. This is the kind of investigation we need.
Currently (July, 2009) an organization in New York City called NYCCAN (Coalition for Accountability Now) has submitted a petition with enough signatures to get an initiative or referendum placed on the ballot in New York City this November. This would, if passed by the voters, create a new commission to investigate 9/11. It would be self funded and would not cost the City of New York one dollar. This is a unique opportunity. Who is Osama bin Laden?
This is a far bigger subject than this website will attempt to cover. He is a (former?) American ally from his days fighting against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. He is not wanted by the FBI in connection with 9/11. He has both denied and admitted / claimed responsibility for the 9/11 attacks (see the book Messages to the World: The Statements of Osama bin Laden, edited by Bruce Lawrence.)
The government released a video of somebody they claimed was bin Laden, which brings up another interesting point. In October, 2001 Secretary of State Colin Powell promised the world that the Administration would soon produce a white paper showing the proof that 9/11 was the work of al Qaeda. Well, they never did. It makes you wonder why not.
The video claimed to show bin Laden was an obvious fake, another lie in a collection of lies that removes any credibility the government ever had on this subject.
Why hasn’t anyone from the government said it was an inside job?
There are a few answers here. First of all the question assumes that historically this happens in false flag operations. What we know from the false flag operations (see earlier separate page) is that they do come out but not by an insider risking his life by confessing. Anybody who would “confess” would be risking his or her life, either by being indicted and tried (and hanged for treason and mass murder and conspiracy) or by being silenced by the powers that be.

See also the statements of William Rodriguez, Sibel Edmonds, and Barry Jennings. All of them made public statements that the 9/11 Commission completely ignored. Rodriguez was a 9/11 hero, the last man out, and was honored by Bush. Sibel Edmonds was an FBI translator hired after 9/11 who uncovered people working in the FBI covering for foreign organizations and governments. Both of them spoke directly to the 9/11 Commission, but their names were barely mentioned.
Recently John Farmer, a Senior Counsel and Team Leader on the 9/11 Commission, has just written a book called The Ground Truth: The Story Behind American’s Defense on 9/11.
In this book John Farmer writes, “at some level of the government, at some point in time . . . there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened.”
According to the website of the publisher, Houghton Mifflin Books, “Ultimately Farmer builds the inescapably convincing case that the official version not only is almost entirely untrue but serves to create a false impression of order and security. “
Significant flaws in the final report of the 9/11 Commission were described in 2005 in the book The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions by Dr. David Ray Griffin, PhD.
The John Farmer book is important because he was on the 9/11 Commission. He was one of the insiders. He may be risking his life in saying this, but he has said it. Notice that these quotes do not provide any specifics. For specifics, read his book! A friend of the author of this site read the book expecting to find a huge expose. What she found was mostly a defense of the official conspiracy theory.
