Red chips nanothermite
From September 11 on, there has been an abundance of publicly available evidence that proves that the official story is false, our government is lying to us, and 9/11 was an inside job. In particular the nature of the collapses of the Twin Towers and Building 7 which were sudden, symmetrical, rapid and complete and produced huge billowing dust clouds full of iron spheres, evidence that metal had been melted. This evidence was available to all of the U.S. government’s investigations; by FEMA, NIST, the Congressional Joint Inquiry, and of course the 9/11 Commission. They chose to ignore it.
This massive undeniable evidence was also available to anyone and everyone with internet access or even access to books.
Among that was evidence that the World Trade Center Buildings 1 and 2 (the Twin Towers) and Building 7 were all brought down via controlled demolition. A controlled demolition is how they intentionally bring down a building when it has outlived its useful life and the owner wants to build something else. Las Vegas hotel casinos are often demolished with great fanfare, and the event is one more Las Vegas show.

The one really new piece of evidence (as of April, 2009) about 9/11 is the scientific evidence of explosives found in the dust of the World Trade Center.
We had already found (scientists had found) iron micro spheres in the dust, which is a sign that steel was melted. Knowing what we know about the melting point of steel, about 2,750 dF, and the heat of a maximum heat hydrocarbon fire including a jet fuel fire, about 1,000 degrees cooler, we already knew there had to be another heat source in the WTC.
Not only were there already many visible signs of controlled demolition including the testimony of many New York City firefighters and other first responders who said they heard, felt, and / or saw explosions in the Twin Towers before they came down, but scientists have now actually found the explosives.
In April, 2009 a team of 9 scientists led by Niels Harrit of Copenhagen published a paper in the Open Physics Chemistry Journal. They describe what they found in 4 samples of World Trade Center dust; red chips. Using high tech, sophisticated scientific methods of analysis and equipment these scientists concluded that the material was nano-thermite. Nano-thermite has been researched and developed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories in California since at least the late 1990s. They first published a paper on it (A.E. Gash) in April, 2000. It is an explosive and can be used in weapons. It can be sprayed on to metal or metal can be dipped into it and coated. It is harmless when wet but burns and releases a lot of heat when burned.
The Harrit paper provides a formerly missing piece of evidence; actual explosives. Since its publication Prof. Steven Jones, the 3rd author, came to Northern California in late April to do 2 presentations; Sacramento on April 30 and Davis on May 1. He spoke to about 225 on those two nights. You can find a video of these presentations on line.
Niels Harrit did an interview excellent which you can watch and read the transcript on the following site. At 5:00 he describes that nano-thermite waggles like a duck. He has been busy traveling in Europe and doing interviews with many TV stations to tell them about nano-thermite.
Physics Professor Steven Jones presents his research in Sacramento and Davis, California
Professor Steven Jones, one of the authors of a newly published scientific paper on the presence of red chips in 4 dust samples from the World Trade Center, presented his research on April 30 in Sacramento and May 1 in Davis. At some point we will finish editing that video and make it available.
The title of the presentations was “What in the World is High-tech Explosive Material Doing in the Dust Clouds Generated on 9/11/2001?”
85 people on April 30 plus about 140 people on May 1 heard Prof. Jones’ presentation, which included over 100 slides and short video clips, on the mysterious red chips. Each presentation was followed by a question and answer period.

As the press release notes, “Using tools such as a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and x-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS) to analyze the material, the study authors concluded that, ‘the red portion of these chips is found to be an unreacted thermitic material and highly energetic.’ The study’s finding lends new support to the demolition theory put forth by critics of the official reports.”
Nano-thermite, a high tech form of thermite, has been researched by the U.S. government’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. LLNL is part of the U.S. Department of Energy.
In an April, 2000 paper by A.E. Gash, R.L. Simpson, T.M. Tillofson, J.H. Safcher, L. and W. Hrubesh titled “Making Nanostructured Pyrotechnics in a Beaker”, they describe their research on energetic materials.
“We have invented a new method of making nanostructured energetic materials, specifically explosives, propellants, and pyrotechnics, using sol-gel chemistry.”
“As an example energetic nanocomposites of FexOy and metallic aluminum are easily synthesized. The compositions are stable, safe and can be readily ignited.”
“The nature of the wet nanocomposites also affords an additional degree of safety. In our hands, the wet pyrotechnic nanocomposites cannot be ignited until the drying process is complete. This property should allow the production of a large quantity of the pyrotechnics that can be stored safely for some time and dried shortly before its use.”

What should be done? Prof. Jones supports a new investigation of the events of 9/11, one that would be transparent and would consider all the evidence including evidence that the World Trade Center was blown up using controlled demolition.
As to who will investigate, Prof. Jones supports 2 ideas; an independent prosecutor appointed by President Obama and a commission created and empowered by the voters of New York City.

Professor Jones received a PhD in Physics from Vanderbilt University in 1978 after completing his Doctoral Research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator in Palo Alto, CA.
